Our Story
We both built successful businesses on our own for years, Scott in the trade, Leanne in beauty and training, but never inside each other's world. Premium Fit and Finish (PFF) is the first time we've brought everything we know into one thing: a home renovation and construction company where the job is done right, and the whole experience, from first quote to final finish, is stress-free for the person paying for it.
How It Started
It wasn't always like this. On a Saturday afternoon in May 2026, we sat at our kitchen table with a very different problem. Scott had just walked away from a very successful business, and overnight, our income was gone.
We sat there writing out the pros and cons: start from scratch, or go and get a job. Leanne had already stepped back from her salons, and it made sense to do this together. She could bring the systems and marketing that make a business run faster, but she didn't know his industry, and he didn't know a thing about marketing. Neither of us had worked in the other's world before.
Why We Built PFF
That decision wasn't just business. It was about the future we wanted for our family. It's why PFF exists: because too many homeowners have been let down by tradespeople who don't communicate, don't show up, or leave jobs half done. We didn't just want to build a construction company. We wanted to build the one we would want to hire.
Learning and Growing Together
Investing in a business mastermind and travelling to London together every month changed how we both saw the business, shifting our mindset from just getting jobs done to building a brand with a real strategy behind it.
For Scott, it opened up the bigger picture: understanding who our ideal customer is, not just doing the job in front of him. For Leanne, it went beyond marketing tactics, into relationships: with customers, merchants, and other business owners we could collaborate with, and fresh ideas for growing PFF sustainably rather than chasing quick wins.
We're still early days, but the diary is already booking in advance, quotes are going out for bigger projects almost every week, and we've picked up commercial work too, something we didn't expect this soon. Our reviews are growing, and honestly, things are looking exciting for PFF.
What Makes Us Different
Construction has always been a masculine-led industry, but women are usually the ones making the decisions when it comes to home projects. Having that female energy alongside Scott's means we speak the customer's language on both sides of the table, not just one.
